Rescue Team Diver (RTD)

The Scuba Schools International (SSI) Rescue Team Diver program is a specialized course designed for divers already affiliated with public safety dive teams. Trainees learn to function in various team roles—such as Primary Diver, Safety Diver, and Incident Commander—while mastering techniques like line tending, body recovery systems, and witness interviewing. This hands-on training prepares divers to operate safely and efficiently as part of a coordinated rescue response unit.

Public Safety Diving (PSD)

The Scuba Schools International (SSI) Public Safety Diver (PSD) program is a comprehensive certification course designed for individuals aiming to join public safety dive teams. Powered by Dive Rescue International, it introduces essential skills for operating in high-risk environments, such as search and recovery missions, underwater investigations, and victim rescue in low-visibility conditions. This program lays the foundation for divers to perform role as a PSD operator, and serves as a prerequisite for the more advanced SSI Rescue Team Diver certification
