The SSI Full Face Mask Diving Specialty introduces you to diving with a full-face mask, allowing you to breathe naturally through both your nose and mouth while enjoying enhanced comfort and safety. This course is ideal for recreational divers seeking to enhance their diving experience, as well as those interested in exploring public safety, scientific diving, or cold-water diving.

What You’ll Learn

• Proper fit, adjustment, and maintenance of full-face masks

• Clearing techniques and failure drills for safe diving

• Using integrated communication systems underwater

• Practical application in both confined and open water environments

 Course Structure

• 1 Academic session (equipment knowledge & safety)

• 1 Confined-water training session

• 2 Open water dives

Key Details

• Prerequisite: SSI Referral Diver / Open Water Diver (or equivalent)

• Minimum Age: 12 years old

• Duration: 10–15 hours total

• Depth Limit:

  • Up to 30m for adults

  • Up to 18m for 12–14-year-olds

Certification

Upon completion, you will earn the SSI Full Face Mask Diver Specialty certification, recognizing your skills in advanced mask systems and underwater communication.
